Jacob Alishouse – Executive Director

Jacob Alishouse serves as the Executive Director of the Nebraska Land Trust, a role he stepped into in 2024 after more than a decade of dedicated service to the organization. Jacob first joined the NLT team in 2013, spending his first 11 years advancing land stewardship initiatives. This experience in the field, combined with a background in Fisheries and Wildlife from UNL and personal roots in Sandhills ranching, allows Jacob to lead with both technical expertise and a lifelong passion for Nebraska’s natural resources. Today, he leads NLT’s mission to preserve the state’s most iconic landscapes through strategic partnerships and voluntary conservation.

Beyond his professional commitment to conservation, Jacob is a dedicated advocate for the Nebraska lifestyle. He, along with his wife and children, can be found exploring the state’s natural beauty through travel and outdoor recreation, fostering the same appreciation for Nebraska’s landscapes in the next generation

Hannah Sidel- Development & Communications Director

Hannah joined Nebraska Land Trust in 2022 as the organization’s first Communications Director and was named Development & Communications Director in 2025. In her role, she oversees all digital and direct mail marketing efforts and works closely with donors to help them achieve their philanthropic goals through Nebraska Land Trust. Hannah has a background in nonprofit fundraising and outreach, with previous experience at the National Arbor Day Foundation and the Crane Trust. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Fisheries and Wildlife from the University of Nebraska–Lincoln in 2013 and currently serves on the advisory board for the Nonprofit Management Institute at the University of Nebraska–Lincoln College of Business.

Hannah resides in Malcolm, Nebraska with her husband and two daughters.

Harleigh Morgan – Stewardship Coordinator

Born and raised in Juniata, Nebraska, Harleigh is no stranger to rural life. Growing up on a 5th generation crop farm instilled a deep appreciation for agriculture. While living on the farm she enjoyed learning about wildlife, ecosystems, and recreation opportunities. Being curious about nature, Harleigh pursued an education at the University of Nebraska Lincoln graduating May 2024 with a Bachelor of Science in Fisheries and Wildlife. After graduation she joined the Nebraska Land Trust in 2024 as the Stewardship Coordinator. She is excited to be combining her education with her roots as she works with landowners to be stewards of Nebraska’s diverse landscape.

Harleigh and her husband live in Wahoo, Nebraska. She enjoys wildlife photography, biking, archery, and learning new outdoor recreational skills. She also enjoys returning to the family farm to help with seasonal activities.
